Drug detox is a very effective way of helping a client start the journey towards a substance abuse-free lifestyle.

Basically, detox involves ridding the client’s body of the toxins from the abused substance. There are different ways of approaching detox and they make use of different medications and approaches.

However, the common denominator of detox problems is the shared goal of getting the client started on the right path towards recovery.

Unfortunately, as with most things, there exist many myths about drug detox. Myths are detrimental as they often scare people away from venturing into unexplored territories due to the falsehoods they are based on.

Myth 2. Drug Detox Is All You Need To Become Clean

Yet another common misconception about detox is that it is the be all and end all of beating addiction.

This is definitely a huge lie about detox and anyone who has gone through it will attest to the same.
